Summit ChurchCastle Rock, CO Wayne Hanson is the founding Pastor of Summit Church, a brand new ministry in Castle Rock, Colorado. Wayne is an Ordained Minister (Fellowship Church, Grand Junction) and is a Graduate of North Central University. Wayne is a life-long student of the bible and is currently working on his Master’s in Divinity. As a youth ministry veteran of over 14 years, Wayne applies his years of student ministry to his work at Summit Church. Wayne is always looking for new and innovative ways to communicate the timeless truths of the Bible and helpful ways for modern-day believers and seekers to apply these truths to everyday life! Wayne is the author of 6 books including: Generation of Destiny, God’s Worship System, 5 Star Youth Ministry, Disciple Corps, The Tribe has Spoken (an unpublished fictional novel and his latest book) and 29 Days Closer to Jesus – Mere Christianity for the Unchurched Believer. In addition to his writing, Wayne is also an accomplished singer/songwriter. He’s penned nearly 300 songs (mostly worship songs) and has recorded and toured the country as a professional musician. During his early years after university, Wayne plied his trade as a TV/film producer in Nashville, TN for Gospel and Country Artists including the Newsboys, Petra, The 7’s, Cindy Morgan, Brooks and Dunn, Kitty Wills and The Christ Church choir. Wayne’s wife, Kim is also an accomplished ministry veteran and an educator. Kim is a Vice-President at the LearningRx World Headquarters in Colorado Springs. Kim worked for 5 years as Children’s Pastor at Fellowship Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Hanson’s have lived in Colorado for nearly 12 years now and truly love it as home!
