Greg was born in Woodward, OK and grew up in Lakewood CO. He began his ministry as a youth pastor in Ft. Collins, CO and then spent 8 1/2 years as Senior Pastor of a church in Freeport, IL. In 1988, Greg, his wife Debbie, and a team of church planters founded Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Seacoast, a non-denominational multi-site church, has recently been recognized by various media outlets as one of the 25 most innovative, 50 most influential, and 100 fastest growing churches in America. In addition to serving as Seacoast’s lead pastor, he is a founding board member of ARC. Greg and his wife Debbie live in Mt. Pleasant and have four children: Jason (married to Jenna), Josh (married to Lisa), Jessica and Jennifer (married to Ben). Greg enjoys reading, photography, golfing, time with family, and rooting for lost causes…specifically the Cubs, Broncos, and Gamecocks.
